BDO History

BDO Mongolia is one of the oldest accounting firms in Mongolia providing audit, tax and advisory services with an in-depth understanding of local and global markets.

BDO stands for Binder Dijker Otte. The history of BDO went back to 1963 where it was founded by five member firms in the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, the US and Canada. In 1973, the British, German and Dutch member firms adopted a common name whose acronym has endured for the entire global network. That name was Binder Hamlyn (UK), Dijker & Co (Holland), and Otte & Co (Germany) - hence BDO.

BDO Mongolia is a member firm of BDO International Limited, a UK company limited by guarantee, and forms part of the international BDO network of independent member firms.  The firm was originally founded by Mr. Bayanmunkh Gombo in 1997 under the name of Itgelt Audit LLC and joined the BDO Global Network in December 2012.
